The REIV has chosen its Victorian representatives for the Australasian Auctioneering Championships that will happen in October.
The auctioneers, Luke Banitsiotis of Woodards Blackburn and Michael Wood of Marshall White and Co, will travel to Auckland alongside representatives from across Australasia to compete for the title.
The Australasian Auctioneering Championships are conducted jointly by the Real Estate Institute of Australia and its New Zealand counterpart.
The previous winner of the championship was Justin Nickerson from Queensland, who took out the award in 2016 as well.
The Victorian representatives were adjudged by the top performers in the 2018 senior auctioneer of the year competition held by the REIV.
Fourteen auctioneers from around Melbourne competed for the REIV Senior Auctioneer of the Year, with only six making the final round.
Mr Banitsiotis believes in a flexible approach to ensure a premium result and keeps the process as simple as possible.
He has been in real estate for over five years and has been a REIV award winner in the past.
Mr Wood was a finalist in the REIV Senior Auctioneer of the Year in 2013, 2014 and 2016 and prides himself in keeping his clients informed throughout the sales campaign.
As a consistent finalist, Mr Wood has been ranked among the top five auctioneers for Victoria.
The winner of the Senior Auctioneer of the Year will be decided between the pair, with the announcement to be made at the annual REIV Gala Awards Night in late October.
The REIV Gala Awards recognises the top men and women in the Victorian real estate industry.
