One niche agency is promoting young members to leadership positions to prepare the group for the future.

Buxton Bentleigh now has six new directors, all in their 20s and 30s, that will join existing directors Chris Hassall and Craig Williamson.

The six new directors are Ivan Blow, Lauren Muller, Phoebe Righetti, Sam Maley, Simon Pintado and Simon Wood.

Managing director Craig Williamson said that these individuals showed potential and were exactly what the company needed.

“We are open-minded and saw potential in where these individuals were heading, and the best way for us to recognise this is by getting them involved in the business,” the MD said.

Mr Williamson said that this promotion of their young team members is paramount to the growth of the team and contributes to the greater success of the business.

“We can already see the upside and know that the strongest possible way for us to recognise that is to continue to take the leap,” Mr Williamson said.

The recent trend for real estate has seen technology and media take over and it is that generational change that Mr Williamson is seeing as vital to the industry’s evolution.

“They are naturally tech proficient and bring the right enthusiasm and energy,” the MD said.

“These attributes are critical to the success of any business in a changing and evolving environment.”

Mr Williamson and Mr Hassall know that their young members are the next leaders, which is why they place an emphasis on training and education, with members participating in up to four hours of training a week.

“The training we have provided has made them ready to evolve as agents and allows them to make strong contributions as leaders in the business,” Mr Williamson said.

Director Chris Hassall, who himself is only 35, will be presenting at AREC this year and will be sharing the tips that have helped Buxton Bentleigh grow.
