In a little over a week, more than 3,000 delegates will descend upon the Gold Coast to attend AREC18 and learn from a diverse line-up of expert speakers.
The two-day conference returns for the seventh year to the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre to celebrate its landmark 21st year.
Nichola Byrne, general manager of Total Real Estate Training, said that last year was their largest yet and that enthusiasm had carried through to this year.
“Last year, we achieved our largest attendance in AREC’s history and the momentum from that has carried over into this year’s event,” the GM said.
Ms Byrne believes that this year’s conference would have some of the best speakers the conference has seen.
“We believe we have our best line-up of speakers in our 21 years. With such diversity among the speakers, agents are going to walk away with such varied and valuable content which will set them up with strategies that can enhance their own businesses and service to their clients,” the GM said.
The largest cohort of delegates is from New South Wales, which accounts for 38 per cent, and then Victoria with 31 per cent.
There are even international registrations, with four delegates joining from the UK and South Africa and the first ever from Hawaii in the US.
This year’s keynote presentation will be presented by James Tostevin, who has attended every AREC since its inception.
Mr Tostevin said that he would focus on the points of difference that agents can bring to the table.
“From my presentation, I plan to give delegates an understanding of the importance of articulating their points of difference in a listing presentation, both their own and that of their company, the ability to differentiate themselves, given the similarities and competence of most of their competitor agencies,” Mr Tostevin said.
