REB’s annual Top 100 Agents ranking for 2018 has a new partner in the form of real estate platform realestate.com.au.
Andrew Rechtman, realestate.com.au’s executive general manager, residential, said that they were proud to be a partner in the ranking as it was a chance to show support for the industry.
“We’re very proud to be supporting the REB Top 100 Agents. Agents are the lifeblood of our industry and their support is essential to us providing great experiences to consumers,” Mr Rechtman said.
Mr Rechtman said that the ranking was important to showcase the best of the industry and give newcomers a level to strive for.
“The ranking provides individual agents with the recognition that they richly deserve and gives others in the industry, especially those starting out, something to strive for. It demonstrates the hard work that these agents put in and opens up new opportunities for agents in the industry,” the EGM said.
The REB Top 100 Agents are the best in a competitive industry, but it is that competition that helps the industry to thrive, the EGM added.
“Healthy competition between agents and brands is incredibly important; it brings out the best in us all. An agent ranked in the REB Top 100 Agents is among the very best in his or her field and clearly relishes the element of competition,” Mr Rechtman said.
What makes a Top 100 Agent is a person who works hard to deliver the best result for his or her clients.
The EGM said: “A Top 100 Agent ensures their brand is always at the forefront of a vendor’s mind when it comes to selling their property. They work hard to better themselves and provide their vendors with the best experience possible. At the end of the day, when the hammer drops, they deliver the best result.”
To get in the ranking, Mr Rechtman said that it was important to be seen by the right people and to make sure they had flexibility to offer their vendors.
“Agents can build their personal brand online and make sure they’re being seen by the right people who are ready to sell. We encourage agents to update and maintain their agent profile and to make sure they are offering their vendors a strong range of advertising options for the sale of their property,” Mr Rechtman said.
