A former baseball star and AFL player is stepping away from the stadium lights to enter the competitive field of real estate.

Corey Adamson, who used to play for the West Coast Eagles, has announced that he is joining boutique real estate group Realmark.

Mr Adamson, at the age of 16, signed up with a Major League Baseball team, the San Diego Padres, until the West Coast Eagles called him up in 2014.

Mr Adamson joined the West Coast rookie side until making his senior round debut in 2015 where he scored a goal. But he is now hanging up his boots to focus on his dream career.

He said that the decision to go with Realmark was an easy one to make.

“It was the energy and enthusiasm of the Realmark team that attracted me. Realmark is always looking for new ways to aid the client experience and innovations that you would never even think of,” Mr Adamson said.

Realmark managing director John Percudani said that it was great to have Corey on board given his dedication and talent.

“It is great to see the Realmark brand attracting such strong talent such as Corey. Athletes have the dedication that it takes to make it in the real estate business.

“It is a long-play game plan and Corey is a shining example of what you can do when you focus on delivering results for the client,” Mr Percudani said.

Mr Adamson’s fellow agent in the Realmark Urban office is Paul Tonich, who said that Corey was a natural in the industry.

“I met Corey a few years back when he was still in elite sports, and even then I could tell that he had the making of a great agent,” Mr Tonich said.

The Realmark Urban office operates across the inner-city fringe markets like Subiaco and Floreat that offer ocean views.
