A national agency is opening a new dedicated office in a strong Sydney marketplace to capture the high sales prices of the area.
Richardson & Wrench has opened a dedicated Wahroonga agency in Sydney’s Upper North Shore to be headed by Nick Addison, who has come across from LJ Hooker Hornsby.
Wahroonga has experienced growth of 18.92 per cent over the past year and the median sale prices of houses is $2.2 million, according to data from Corelogic, making it the perfect market for a new office.
Mr Addison has spent 14 years in the industry, in the last decade as a principal of LJ Hooker Hornsby, and he will be the franchise principal at the new office.
Mr Addison said that he came across to R&W as he saw a great opportunity in the business which would let him focus on what he is good at.
“I’ve been in partnership for a number of years, and when we sold the business, I was looking for a structure that would give me the freedom to do what I’m good at: build relationships with customers and sell property,” the principal said.
R&W owner and managing director Andrew Cocks said that Mr Addison’s decision to join the group would help them increase their presence in the area.
“Nick will be a great asset to the network and an excellent fit with our existing offices. He has a strong network within the area, having spent most of his life living in and around Wahroonga,” Mr Cocks said.
Mr Cocks said that the flexible model of R&W was well suited to established local profiles with a track record of successful sales.
“Nick has built his profile in the local area over the past 14 years and is in a position to leverage that valuable investment in his own brand, building upon relationships and contacts,” Mr Cocks said.
Mr Cocks said that the head office was there to support Mr Addison and let him focus on what he loves — selling property.
“He has a large group of very talented head office staff at his disposal to support him with every aspect of running his real estate franchise, whether it is creating tailored marketing packages for his clients, providing property management solutions or building a social media profile,” Mr Cocks said.
Mr Cocks added that R&W’s established offices on the north shore would benefit from this new opening, too.
“Our principals have the benefit of business certainty knowing that they have exclusive rights to canvas within agreed localities, which is an important factor in the culture that runs through the network,” the MD said.
