Earlier in the month, more than 80 dogs descended on Queensland boutique network Coronis’ 27 offices across South East Queensland for the famous Take Your Dog to Work Day.
Managing director Andrew Coronis said that the initiative was a massive success.
This was the second year that the group had opened the doors up for the team’s four-legged friends, an initiative that had become a highlight on the Coronis calendar.
“The team absolutely loves this day and so do I,” the MD said.
“Seeing all the dogs running round adds another layer of joy and happiness and it’s just great to see.”
Mr Coronis also praised the dogs for their office-hours decorum.
“I can’t speak for all the offices, but the dogs at HQ were exceptionally well behaved.
“They had a bit of play in the morning but were all fast asleep in the afternoon, so work-wise it was still a productive day.”
He added that there was a serious side to the initiative as well.
“This year, instead of focusing on our spoilt pets, we put the call out to the team and our clients to donate any old towels and blankets and new toys and treats for the Animal Welfare League Queensland (AWLQ).
“It was fantastic to see all the donations come into our HQ office. We filled an entire car with everything and delivered it to the AWLQ on Monday morning, which was a wonderful experience.
“I think they were a little overwhelmed by how much we had collected, but I’m sure it will all be put to great use.”
