Digital auction platform Gavl has announced a new partnership with a leading TV renovation show in New Zealand.

Gavl, a live-streaming and bidding platform for real estate auctions, has partnered with Three channel’s The Block NZ.

The Block is an original renovation show by Nine Network Australia that pits couples against each other to renovate and style properties and sell them at auction for the highest price.

Season 7 of The Block NZ started last week, and through the partnership, Gavl will receive television, digital and in-program engagement.

Co-founder of Gavl Joel Smith said that the partnership would allow the platform to reach new audiences.

“Our partnership with Three’s The Block NZ is very exciting, not only for Gavl in being able to harness the incredibly strong following of property aficionados the show can provide, but for the show’s contestants and viewers,” Mr Smith said.

Mr Smith said that Gavl was constantly innovating and they were keen to see how they could best integrate with the show.

“At Gavl, we continuously strive to find new ways to make buying and selling property more accessible and convenient, and we’re exceptionally excited about how Gavl can integrate with the show towards the season finale,” the co-founder said.

Gavl allows real estate auctions to be broadcast in real time to thousands of potential buyers around the world.

The platform allows buyers to browse properties and bid on auctions without having to physically attend them.

Gavl recently launched an extended auction capability that allows for remote bidding, letting people bid on a property anywhere in the world.

Gavl currently boasts an audience across 50 countries as a result of over 6,000 auctions with more than 4 million views.
