One of Ray White’s top female agents has grown her team by appointing a new senior property manager to lead the portfolio.

Vivien Yap, who was number two in the REB Top 50 Women in Real Estate ranking in 2017, has appointed Fiona Short to be the new senior property manager for Ray White Dalkeith/Claremont.

Ms Short joins the agency with over 15 years’ experience in the industry and said that the key to good property management was communication.

“Whether you know the answer or not, as long as you’re communicating and being honest, you can’t really go wrong,” Ms Short said.

Ms Short added that she was excited to grow the portfolio of the business and to challenge expectations.

“I love a challenge. Exceeding lessors’ and tenants’ expectations and having people be proud of me and enjoy working with me… that’s what I love about it,” Ms Short said.

Ms Short will work alongside Ms Yap and the new general manager, Lee Fitzgerald, and said that she was excited to learn from some of the best in the industry.

“Vivien and Lee are fantastic mentors, amazing women who work at the heart of the business. For me, now is the time to work with the best,” Ms Short said.

Ms Fitzgerald said that she had known Ms Short for a few years and looked forward to working with her.

“Fiona is highly organised and incredibly loyal. She wants to lead the way and she actually cares, which is hard to find,” Ms Fitzgerald said.

Ms Fitzgerald said that the property management side of the business could only go up and she couldn’t wait to build it.

“I’m super excited about the future of property management here and looking forward to building the team together and taking it from strength to strength,” the new GM said.
