Raine & Horne has two new well-known principals in a growing Queensland market, allowing the agency to capture a new list of vendors.
Jacqui Walker and Jason Read had signed on with Raine & Horne and will lead their new Coomera branch.
Ms Walker has been in the property game since 2003 whence she has been both a real estate principal and property manager.
Mr Read, meanwhile, has worked as a sales agent with both independents and big brands for the past 17 years.
The new partners have been seeking to establish their own office for years and finally came under the Raine & Horne brand.
Ms Walker will focus on property management while Mr Read will lead the sales team.
Mr Read said that a big part of choosing Raine & Horne was due to the technology available to them.
“The technology such as Amplify, along with the systems and support from Raine & Horne, has been very impressive,” Mr Read said.
Mr Read said that Millennials are changing the market and he wanted to be at the forefront of the development.
“We are seeing the change in real estate marketing with Millennials now coming through and the way people are searching for real estate online, which is very different from when we first started.”
Steve Worrad, general manager of Queensland Raine & Horne, had been head-hunting the duo for quite some time, according to Mr Read.
“We had offers from other networks, but for me, it was an easy decision to go with Steve and Raine & Horne, especially after he showed me the support and access to industry-leading technologies such as Amplify that are available through the network.”
Angus Raine, executive chairman of Raine & Horne, welcomed the duo and said that they were looking forward to having them in the family.
“Jacqui has plenty of ownership experience including negotiating her way through the GFC, while Jason has the runs on the board in real estate sales, recruitment and training,” Mr Raine said.
