Training platform launches off-the-plan sales training for agents

Agents looking to expand their revenue stream should look out for a new course that allows for accredited agents to sell off-the-plan properties and have access to higher commissions.

Off-the-plan marketing agency Red Door has announced what it claims is Australia’s first elite training platform for off-the-plan sales, LEAP Academy.

The course is delivered by Michael Sheargold, a business coach and performance expert. It is CPD accredited, open to all agents and can be completed online in their own time.

Agents can expect to learn about how to sell off-the-plan property, how to proceed when marketing to their network as well as how to deal with an online process to manage the selection and sale of properties.

The course was launched by Red Door directors Lisa Hutchinson and Harriet Geoghegan after they saw how successful developers were when selling off-the-plan property through networks of agents through their own client lists.

“Developers were constantly asking for us to find them new agents,” Ms Geoghegan said. “We started a campaign to connect developers to agents, but quickly found that there was hesitation from agents who hadn’t sold off the plan before, and hesitation from developers who wanted to cherry-pick the top sellers. We went back to the drawing board, and the LEAP Academy was the solution. 

“We’ve begun reaching out to agents and piloting the course with a small group, and the response has been incredible.

“The most common thing we hear is how nice it is not to have to go pitch for every listing, but instead be able to choose from a smorgasbord of quality properties and be able to present them to clients right away.”

The LEAP Academy is currently taking registrations for the first intake, with limited spaces available.
