When Ryan O’Connor sold Mark McBaron and his wife Meg a home, the last thing he expected was that he was meeting the person who would become his friend and future partner in business.
But the two recognised they shared the same business values around integrity, communication and family values, and they have now opened Ray White Raymond Terrace together.
Mr O’Connor grew up in a family real estate business, then spent time in mortgage lending before returning to a local real estate agency five years ago. Mr McBaron’s career has seen him spend the last 15 years as part of the Ray White corporate team working in property marketing, training and development.
Mr O’Connor said that he was struck by the Ray White Group’s family business ethos.
“When you walk in our door, you’re not going to be just another number,” Mr O’Connor said.
“We’re going to be armed with the best technology and tools this industry has to offer, but even more importantly, our business relationships are based on honesty and trust.”
Mr McBaron said that they are keen to get involved with the local teams to connect with their community.
“We’re looking forward to forming some great relationships and supporting the families that support us,” Mr McBaron said.
Raymond Terrace is in the Port Stephens Shire, 20 minutes north of Newcastle.
Ray White NSW chairman Stephen Nell congratulated the pair on opening the new office.
“Ryan and Mark bring extensive experience and genuine value to their local real estate market,” Mr Nell said.
“We’re delighted to have another family business joining ours and look forward to supporting them as they grow.”
