McGrath Caloundra principal Jodie Hedley-Ward has been shortlisted as a finalist for the newly created Most Influential Woman award.
Nominations have been announced for the Annual REA Excellence Awards (AREAs), which are in relation to the property and media industries, and Mrs Hedley-Ward has been acknowledged as an exceptional woman who has achieved success in the property industry.
Head of McGrath franchise network Christopher Mourd lauded Mrs Hedley-Ward’s contribution.
“We are proud to have Jodie as an integral part of the McGrath team,” the head of franchise network said.
“Her energy, commitment and professionalism is without peer. We are delighted that she is being recognised as one of the industry’s leading principals.”
Mrs Hedley-Ward said that her success was a combined effort.
“I am honoured to be a finalist and really want to acknowledge the incredible team I have at McGrath Caloundra who all share my intense passion for linking commerce with our Community Giveback Program, which is at the heart of everything we do.
“Thank you for all the support — I’m thrilled to be flying the flag for Queensland.”
Mrs Hedley-Ward’s McGrath Caloundra office recently reached a remarkable new milestone, donating $100,000 to almost 100 not-for-profit organisations since 1 January 2017, as part of its Community Giveback Program.
The Community Giveback Program involves a $500 donation at settlement to a not-for-profit, school or sporting organisation that the client nominates. Along with the monetary donations, the team also donates their time, going over and above for causes close to their heart.
In addition to this, Mrs Hedley-Ward has been recognised as one of the top 10 highest-achieving women in McGrath for the first half of 2018.
Mrs Hedley-Ward said: “I was humbled to be named the top Queensland female agent for the 2018 financial year recently, and I believe that learning from others in our phenomenal McGrath network has been instrumental in my career up until this point. I absolutely love learning new distinctions and strategies that can help take my team and everyone at our McGrath Caloundra office to the next level.”
She is also the 2017 Sunshine Coast Corporate Businesswoman of the Year and has secured numerous awards since opening McGrath Caloundra with her husband David Hedley-Ward in 2016.
