A clever new property portal has been launched, boasting a simple, intuitive point of difference anticipated to be useful enough to rival the dominance of the established portals and comparison platforms.
House Hunting is a new property portal that enables property researching, buying and renovating using a comparison tool that allows consumers to compare a range of material elements including floor plans, bathrooms, kitchens and map locations.
It also creates a complete property business ecosystem by featuring an agent profile section and by connecting consumers to local trade services in their suburbs.
Founder and CEO Drew Muirhead said that House Hunting is a unique platform that could rival any of the traditional portals supporting the industry today.
“It is Australia’s only property comparison site with patented technology,” the founder told REB.
“We are the only property search site with a trade directory.”
Mr Muirhead said that there is a value upside for agents.
“The value for agents lies in more brand exposure and personalised agent profiles,” the founder said.
“Agents can send out a compassion board of up to five properties to prospects or home buyers to quickly show the market value of a property.”
And for consumers, the CEO said that it provides the “easiest way” to view and compare properties.
“Without having to go in and out of different property links. Users can also find local trades and professional services in their search area.
“Trades and professional services related to the property industry can be easily be found by home buyers and renovators.”
Mr Muirhead said that the platform is inexpensive, with both a standard and premium service.
He added that the feedback has been “incredibly positive” so far.
“Some agents just love the free listings and personalised landing pages, while others love the technology and how it can help them win listings,” Mr Muirhead said.
“One agent said that sending a comparison board was the best way to start a conversation with a prospect.”
Mr Muirhead said that there are plans in place to expand the offering.
“We have plans for an agent-only appraisal tool that we believe [will] help agents condition potential sellers for market conditions and win the listings.”
