The Agency has added another high-performance agent to its growing portfolio of assets with the recruitment of a specialist sales pro to its Melbourne business.
Robert Ding will join The Agency in Melbourne to service the areas of Boroondara and Whitehorse in the city’s eastern suburbs.
The Agency’s Victorian general manager, Peter Kakos, said that Mr Ding is an agent who has made headlines throughout his career.
He said that Mr Ding has been able to provide significant insights into Melbourne’s Chinese buyer and seller property markets, and is one of the only agents to run successful bilingual auctions in English and Mandarin.
“To have someone with Robert Ding’s experience and huge client following join us at The Agency complements our launch into the Boroondara and Whitehorse markets beautifully,” Mr Kakos said.
“Robert’s passion and knowledge is unrivalled. The skill set that Robert possesses can only be acquired with 20-plus years of experience, with the addition of being bilingual and incredibly well known and respected throughout the community. People immediately warm to Robert when they meet him — he’s that sort of person.”
Mr Kakos said that attracting an agent of Mr Ding’s calibre and experience is a “significant asset” to The Agency business.
Mr Ding said that he was looking for a change.
“As I approach my 24th year in the real estate industry, it was time for a change,” the agent said.
“The Agency’s appreciation of its dynamic team coupled with an innovative, tech-forward approach that is free from the outdated constraints of the traditional real estate model, it was the perfect fit.
“‘Brands don’t sell houses, people do’ — I was instantly drawn in by this mantra.”
Mr Ding also has building experience.
“My extensive knowledge of the building and construction industry allows me to provide clients with expert advice regarding renovating, new builds, multi-unit developments and projects.
“I am able to offer valuable insights into what buyers are looking for in the current market, which allows clients to tailor their projects accordingly to maximise returns.”
Mr Ding said that it was important to be creative in cooling market conditions.
“The old adage ‘buy and sell within the same market’ is particularly pertinent today. Thinking outside of the box is something I enjoy, especially when facing a more challenging market,” the agent said.
“The Agency allows me to provide an outstanding level of service to my clients without restraints or restrictions and I am looking forward to unleashing my creativity.”
He said that he was excited to be part of an organisation that recognises the value of its people.
“Staff happiness has a profound knock-on effect through enhanced performance, exceptional results and, most importantly, happy customers.”
