One of Australia’s leading networks has announced the launch of a new mega office on the Gold Coast as the latest amalgamation volume trend begins to take root.

Raine & Horne has launched a merged mega office located at Broadbeach, which will be led by principal Bill Rex.

The new office is a result of an amalgamation between Raine & Horne Broadbeach and Raine & Horne Mermaid Beach, which was formerly owned and operated by Anthony Steinberg.

Mr Steinberg will take on an extended sales role at the newly formed Raine & Horne Broadbeach office.

Executive chairman of Raine & Horne Angus Raine said that the amalgamation of the two successful Gold Coast real estate firms is part of a new trend.

“The growth of mega offices of 20 to sometimes 60 staff who can meet buyer demand in high volume locations.

“Our group’s offices on Sydney’s northern beaches and on the New South Wales central coast are excellent examples of the mega office trend. We can now add the Gold Coast to this rapidly developing real estate industry trend.”

Mr Rex said that the existing purpose-built Raine & Horne Broadbeach location will “effortlessly” handle the extended real estate team.

“Broadbeach and Mermaid Beach share a postcode, 4218, which makes the amalgamation a straightforward decision for Anthony and me.

“With Anthony and his team merging with Raine & Horne Broadbeach, they bring plenty of experience, while our office has an excellent property display room on the ground floor with our operational team on the second floor.”

Mr Steinberg said that there were good synergies to be had in the merger.

“Customers of Raine & Horne Broadbeach with properties in Mermaid Beach, Miami and Burleigh will now benefit from having their properties listed by a real estate office operating from a high-traffic location.

“The additional traffic will deliver 10 times more exposure than our former location on the Gold Coast Highway at Mermaid Beach.”
