This year, innovative Victorian network hockingstuart has two teams on the hit television property show The Block, a feat it says will elevate its brand credentials significantly.
Director at the St. Kilda office Sam Inan is looking after Norm and Jess, while the Albert Park office has agents Stephanie Evans and Emily Adams looking after Kerrie and Spence.
Hockingstuart said that it was “incredibly important” to get these listings.
“It puts the brand in front of millions of viewers on a weekly basis and allows agents to demonstrate their local expertise to more potential buyers in the area than ever before,” the network said.
It added that the process was quite straightforward.
“The contestants shortlist the agents they want to speak to, usually based on a number of key factors.
“During the interview stage, both sets of contestants were impressed by the size of the hockingstuart network, the connection hockingstuart has with the community and its knowledge of buyers in this price range.”
Hockingstuart said that it would remain business as usual from this point.
“Both agents still continue to use the traditional marketing mediums, and hockingstuart [is] generally well known for [its] marketing expertise thanks to [its] use of DIAKRIT imagery and social media.”
Mr Inan said that he was not taking the opportunity lightly.
“Having previously worked behind the scenes on The Block with David Wood, it’s quite the privilege to now be working directly with Jess and Norm, and, in my opinion, the best property of the bunch,” the director said.
“Not only do they have one of the penthouses — which is a great advantage — they have won best terrace, scoring a perfect 30/30 with the judges. I think they’re doing a top job and deserve to win.”
Mr Inan said that the aftermath of the campaigns were equally as important as the campaigns themselves.
“Because once it’s over and done with, we find that there’s a lot of people that approach the brand who otherwise might not have. Or they might have shortlisted us and we’re now head and shoulders above the competition, because they saw exactly how we conducted ourselves over the course of The Block.”
Ms Adams and Ms Evans said that they were excited to be flying the flag.
“Being the only female agents on The Block, it’s exciting to be providing a point of difference and flying the flag for women on the show,” Ms Adams said.
“We’re so thrilled to be working with Kerrie and Spence and are so impressed with their apartment, which is the result of their hard work and attention to detail. Having won kitchen week, Kerrie and Spence’s apartment is the ultimate property for entertaining, and we can’t wait to help them win come auction day.”
The auction is on Sunday, 28 October.
