Boutique network Kay & Burton is opening a new office in Melbourne’s inner suburb of Armadale as it continues to reinvent itself in the dynamic modern market.

The new office will be headed up by the agency’s director, Gowan Stubbings.

Mr Stubbings said that an Armadale office was the natural next step for Kay & Burton.

“With 2018 marking Kay & Burton’s 80th anniversary, this new growth chapter is just another milestone to add to their myriad achievements over the years.

“The opening is not only a testament to the agency’s ongoing innovation within the property industry, but also an acknowledgment to the exceptional service Kay & Burton has been providing to its clients and the lifelong relationships that have been formed.”

He said that the area has performed well for the group.

“We’ve always had huge success through the Armadale and Malvern corridor, and [we] have toyed with the idea of having a physical presence there for quite a while,” Mr Stubbings said.

“We now have a dedicated team who live and breathe Armadale and [its] surrounds, so the timing feels perfect.”

Mr Stubbings said that the new office would build on the group’s unique point of difference.

“The new office is being introduced as an experience centre, rather than just your traditional real estate office, filled with inspiring artwork from local artists.

“It will really be embracing the link between art and property and constantly find new and better ways to assist clients in the ever-changing real estate market.”

Joint managing director Ross Savas said that from the agency’s humble beginnings in South Yarra back in 1938, the company has grown to seven locations across Melbourne.

Mr Savas said that Kay & Burton was the first agency to move from sketch drawings of homes to high-grade photography, and from small ads to large ads, in a bid to showcase its properties.

“About 21 years ago, we were the first agency to introduce nighttime photography and full-scale video productions to better service our time-poor clients,” the joint MD said.

“It seems fitting then that the creative leader in Melbourne’s real estate sphere has chosen Armadale’s contemporary Metro Gallery to celebrate the opening of its brand-new location.”

Kay & Burton prides itself on being a boutique agency with a “client-first philosophy” — an approach they plan to integrate smoothly across the agency’s eighth office space on High Street in a bid to service a larger clientele in Melbourne’s east.
