Di Jones general manager Kylie Walsh has been recognised as a finalist for the Most Influential Woman in Property category at the 2018 Annual REA Excellence Awards due to be held next month.

CEO Rob Ward lauded Ms Walsh’s shortlisting for the award.

“The calibre of the finalists featured in the category is outstanding, and it is wonderful that Kylie’s contribution to the industry has been acknowledged.

“Kylie’s dedication and commitment to the real estate profession is exceptional, and it is a true testament to her ability and character that she has been recognised as a finalist.”

Mr Ward said that she has played a big role in the growth of the business.

“Responsible for increasing management’s effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training managers, Kylie also spearheads Di Jones’ strategic plans to ensure the profitability of the company,” the CEO said.

“She has also been instrumental in the agency’s recent expansion success and works tirelessly to ensure Di Jones continues to thrive.”

He said that the award acknowledges exceptional females who have achieved success in the property industry.

Mr Ward said that Ms Walsh was in good company in the category.

“Kylie is a true leader and she is deserving to be put in such great company on the national stage as Jodie Hedley-Ward of McGrath Estate Agents Caloundra, Leanne Pilkington of Laing+Simmons Corporation, Monika Tu of Black Diamondz Property Concierge and Sadhana Smiles of Harcourts Victoria.”

Di Jones recently launched an academy program called Future Superstars Program, a three-year initiative designed to produce top sales talent.

Mr Ward said at the time that one of the network’s key strategies was to nurture new talent.

“The Future Superstars Program has been created to facilitate the exponential growth of individuals by offering participants training, coaching and mentoring, and a support network to maximise their chance of success,” Mr Ward said.

“There are many agents in the marketplace who aren’t reaching their potential and, as part of our program, we are actively hunting these associates and business development managers in our industry.

“We found that the majority of companies are either a franchise or one-office boutique that often had its director as a selling agent.”
