A Melbourne-based automated real estate comms platform has appointed a former Domain Group executive to its board as its new chief commercial officer.
Melbourne-based ActivePipe has appointed the former director of corporate & enterprise – Asia Pacific, David Young Choi, to the position of CCO.
The appointment marks another remarkable step for ActivePipe.
In the last 12 months, it has secured three Australian business awards and successfully completed a $5.9 million series A funding round.
ActivePipe CEO Ashley Farrugia said that Mr Young Choi was a perfect fit for the company as it continues to expand.
“David is a highly qualified and respected senior executive with over 15 years’ experience in corporate and business development, marketing and strategy.”
Mr Farrugia said that Mr Young Choi’s extensive executive background includes working with Australia’s largest real estate brands like Fairfax Media, News limited, Domain Group and REA Group.
“David joins ActivePipe from his most recent role as director of corporate & enterprise at Domain, where he and his team drove the strategic objectives for major franchise groups and key partners, focusing on helping clients leverage technology in a changing marketplace, unlocking their digital advantage while focusing on mobile effectiveness.”
He said that Mr Young Choi has extensive experience across the Australian and New Zealand real estate markets.
“He is well known in the industry for his integrity, depth of knowledge and understanding of the sector, and as such, we are delighted to have him join the team in our mission to improve the lives of real estate agents around the globe with our technology,” the CEO said.
Mr Young Choi said that ActivePipe’s drive for cutting-edge creative technology will continue to see it grow.
“The shift in customer expectations and the need for personalised communication has eroded traditional product and service differentiation.
“ActivePipe helps customers deliver unique messaging, through integrated data, personalised journeys, and is a clear leader in marketing automation and discovery technology.”
He said that he was drawn to ActivePipe’s focus on trust and staff empowerment.
“With visionary leadership and an amazingly talented team, I am thrilled to be part of the evolution and next phase of the business’ global expansion,” the new CCO said.
