One of Australia’s largest networks has opened a new office in the rising Melbourne suburb of Werribee, in recognition of the suburb’s potential and in line with the group’s growth ambitions.
Harcourts Victoria has announced the opening of its new Harcourts Werribee & Co office, which will have a team of six professionals.
Leading the team are local directors Rick Massese and Leonie Toso, who have more than 15 years of real estate experience.
Ms Toso said that they were pleased to be joining the Harcourts brand.
“We’re delighted to be opening the new office,” the director said.
“Our first-hand experience of the local market is a key ingredient for buyers and sellers alike, and we’re looking forward to helping local residents, and those further afield, on their property journey.”
Mr Massese said that Werribee is one of the only suburbs across Melbourne and Sydney continuing to see growth.
He said that Werribee’s property values are rising, with the median house price at $480,001, well under Melbourne’s average of $882,082.
“Werribee has undergone an exciting transformation over the last decade from a country town to a city, and it’s continuing to boom,” Mr Massese said.
He added that the area has a wide array of drawcards.
“Families are flocking to the area with its good schools, local parks and facilities, shops and close proximity to some of the best beaches in Southern Australia.
“The area is also becoming increasingly attractive because the properties and allotments are still a good size; in surrounding suburbs, blocks are noticeably smaller.”
Harcourts Victoria welcomed the new office and said that it was primed for growth.
“Signalling continued growth, Harcourts Werribee & Co anticipate[s] quick expansion,” the company said.
“The new team is already seeking a second office location, currently scheduled to open in 2019.”
