McGrath Estate Agents has secured a proven high-performance agent to lead a sales team in one of Melbourne’s earmarked growth suburbs, as the high-profile network continues to plot its return to sustained profitability.

McGrath Estate Agents has appointed Ripple Wu as a director and co-principal of McGrath Box Hill, a Melbourne suburb 30 minutes east of the CBD.

McGrath founder and executive director John McGrath said that the suburb is ripe for performance.

“Despite a cooling market, I believe the Melbourne suburb offers good potential for capital growth over the long term due to solid population and employment growth, major investment in infrastructure and affordable housing that will be a catalyst for interstate migration.”

He identified the suburb as one of his top picks in the recently released McGrath Report 2019.

“Located around 14 kilometres east of the city, Box Hill is a cosmopolitan suburb with strong public transport links and, importantly, its own hospital and school,” Mr McGrath said.

“The bustling multicultural hub is thriving with houses on large blocks that have great development potential.”

Ms Wu is previously of Ray White Blackburn. She joined McGrath last month as sales agent.

Ms Wu describes her approach to real estate as “enthusiastic, passionate and hard-working”.

She said that she was attracted to McGrath because its business values “strongly aligned” with her own.

“My business mantra is very simple and is based on honesty and integrity,” Ms Wu said.

“I believe strong trust between agents and clients is the best way to grow your business. If you always tell your clients the truth and be honest with them, you’ll be rewarded.”

McGrath head of franchise Christopher Mourd said that Ms Wu is an asset to the business.

“It is a great pleasure to have Ripple Wu come on board as the new director and co-principal of McGrath Box Hill. Ripple is an award-winning agent with a proven and consistent sales track record in the area.”

Mr Mourd said that Ms Wu has “hit the ground running”.

“Her highly sought-after negotiation skills have won her ongoing client referrals and repeat business and she enjoys a strong connection to the local community. We believe her experience and market knowledge will be a huge asset to McGrath in servicing both our vendors and buyers.

“She is passionate about bringing a high level of customer service to all of her clients that is synergistic with our own core values.”

Ms Wu will lead a team of 12 sales agents.
