Rising agency Di Jones has officially opened on Sydney’s lower north shore, after the high-profile deal with former-McGrath principals Piers van Hamburg and Dean Mackie came into effect on 1 February.

Di Jones CEO Robert Ward announced the move in December 2018, saying it marks the growth of a family brand that has a 27-year heritage.

“We are excited to announce [that] with the partnership, we are now positioned as the largest independent agency in NSW with a total value of $1.4 billion dollars sold in twelve months,” he said.

“We now have a wider reach across Sydney and can offer an even greater depth of experience to our customers thanks to our new, aligned vision. Together we are stronger than operating individually.”

Mr Ward said that the lower north shore team collaboration brings a wealth of industry knowledge to local buyers and vendors.

“We welcome their innovative management team who are leaders in their core markets.

“Although there has been a name change for the lower north shore office, the same people and the same shared values and unified vision remain.”

The lower north shore office will be headed up by Dean Mackie as managing director, Piers van Hamburg as principal, Pamela Styling leading the property management division and Brent May as head of sales.

Mr Mackie said he is excited about the future.

“This collaboration represents an exciting new chapter in our business,” he said.

“With a new name, but the same great team, 2019 promises to be a dynamic year for us within the Di Jones family. Di Jones lower north shore will continue to offer the high-quality service the local community has come to expect.”

Di Jones now has eight offices with 178 employees, sales of $1.4 billion and with assets under management of over $6 billion.
