“Ken has an extensive background in real estate and a fantastic working knowledge of Professionals, having been our business development executive in NSW since mid-2017,” Mr Crombie said.

Mr Crombie said that Mr Cheeseman would be a direct report of his, and would take on a national responsibility.

“Ken, as our new national network executive, will provide support and advice to the group’s business development team across Australia as well as drive the growth targets from a national prospective.”

Mr Crombie said that Mr Cheeseman has a track record of success.

“As mentioned, Ken has been in the position of business development executive in NSW for Professionals Group Australia, where he has succeeded in bringing a number of new offices onboard,” he said.

“These included changeovers from both independent agencies and major franchise groups, as well as new start-up agencies. His experience, support and advice to these new member offices has helped make their transition to the Professionals group a smooth one.”

Mr Crombie said that Mr Cheeseman has a deep pedigree in the industry.

“Starting in real estate in 1991 after moving into the industry from merchant banking, Ken bought into his first agency in 1993, quickly expanding that agency to two offices with 12 salespeople and a turnover in excess of $2.5 million per annum.

“He also held a master franchise agreement with a rival franchise group for the North West of Sydney. In later years, Ken specialised in lifestyle properties in the Hills District of Sydney, setting many suburb record prices, before selling the business in 2015.”
