Australia and New Zealand’s best independent agents have been celebrated and recognised at an annual event in Sydney this week.
The 13th annual Australasian Real Estate Results Awards (ARERA) was held at Luna Park on Monday night, hosted by industry coaching and training body Real Estate Results Network.
RERN said that this year’s ARERA was “strongly” contested, with many finalists vying for the top honour in many of the individual and agency categories.
Melbourne agency Reliance Real Estate won the highly competitive and coveted Agency of the Year (Metro) award.
Reliance principal Sunil Kumar won the Principal of the Year category for the second year in a row.
Marketing Agency of the Year was a joint win for Sydney’s McConnell Bourn and Coffs Harbour’s Nolan Partners, whilst Digital Excellence of the Year was awarded to Perth-based Limnios Partners.
Australian Agent of the Year was awarded to Cunninghams star Andrew Lutze, while NSW Agent of the year was awarded to his colleague Steve Lambley, both for the second year running.
New Zealand Agent of the Year was awarded for the third time to Wei Sen Chow of Lugton’s.
Cunninghams director and industry thought leader John Cunningham was awarded the Life Time Achievement award to close the ceremony.
RERN founder Michael Sheargold congratulated all of the winners and finalists.
“This year’s field of finalists was the finest and most competitive in ARERA’s history and their performances are a credit to Australasia’s independent real estate industry as it continues to flourish,” Mr Sheargold said.
“The ARERAs represents the peak achievement within the region’s independent property sector, and we congratulate all of the finalists and winners whose drive, leadership and professionalism reflect so highly on our industry.
“Our winners epitomise the industry’s ideals and values, and I know they will continue to raise the bar of excellence within independent real estate throughout Australasia in 2019.”
