One prominent McGrath principal in Queensland has won two awards recognising her contribution to sales and supporting the community in her local catchment area at the recently held REIQ Awards.

Principal of McGrath Caloundra Jodie Hedley-Ward was named Residential Salesperson of the Year and McGrath Caloundra received the Community Service Award.

Head of franchise network for McGrath Christopher Mourd said that he was not surprised that Ms Hedley-Ward has been recognised.

“Jodie is an outstanding member of the McGrath team and we are delighted that she has been recognised by the REIQ,” he said.

“Her energy and professionalism inspires all of us, and her commitment to deliver the best results for her clients is befitting for her award as Salesperson of the Year.”

He said the office is a good example of what the McGrath brand stands for.

“McGrath Caloundra has exemplified our company’s commitment to supporting and giving back to its local communities,” Mr Mourd said.

“Jodie and her entire team have shown such compassion and generosity through their Community Giveback Program, donating to more than 125 not-for-profit organisations. To have such generosity of spirit acknowledged is humbling for them.”

Ms Hedley-Ward said that winning two REIQ awards at this time means the world to the McGrath Caloundra team.

“We are incredibly passionate about our community and every single member of our team has devoted time and funds to support our Community Giveback Program since early 2017,” she said.

“To have raised close to $150,000 in that time is wonderful, but the true reward has been seeing many people we have touched and to see our team grow closer as a result of the experiences we have shared.”

Ms Hedley-Ward said that she was humbled to have won the individual sales award.

“I’m honoured to be named the Residential Salesperson of the Year, among such a stellar group of finalists.

“To be acknowledged in this way by the REIQ is an incredible moment for me in my career, and I want to personally thank all those at the REIQ for all that they do to ensure our industry in Queensland continues to go from strength to strength.”
