One niche network in WA has reached out to its sister network in Victoria, to share its experience in surviving and thriving change, as markets continue to cool in and around Melbourne.

A number of agents from across the Realmark network in WA came together for a panel field trip to Stockdale and Leggo’s annual conference in Melbourne. There they shared experience, expectations and strategy for combating negative media to grow sales where competitors suffered “dramatic” reductions in volume.

Realmark Group managing director and founder John Percudani said the eastern states are hitting a season of uncertainty as house prices become stagnant and show signs of decline.

He said that this is a storm WA knows all too well.

“Having weathered the challenging world of real estate in Western Australia for the past few years, including valuation decline, lending availability and rental saturation, agents shared their strategies and tactics to survive.”

Mr Percudani said the trip showcased the value of operating collaboratively.

“Realmark has seen uncharted growth in a climate where many folded,” he said.

“We focus on not getting too far ahead of ourselves and watching the property market cycle very closely. Putting in place strategy, systems and process ahead of time to ensure we weather the storm for the network.

“Our team focus heavily on innovation to ensure we have the tools in place, so agents, property and strata managers can focus on the client and guide them through their property journey, be that commercial, residential or strata.”

He also said that the Realmark business leaders regroup frequently to share experiences from a multitude of markets.

“The essence of our team is also an integral part of it,” he added.

“Part of the Realmark ethos is to have a collective and collaborative space to learn and grow, which has proved invaluable.”

Realmark celebrates 30 years in real estate this year, with original founders and directors John and Anita Percudani still at the helm.
