Stone Real Estate has signed a renowned performer to its office in a historic town an hour south-west of Sydney, as it deepens its influence in a selection of NSW’s most buoyant regional markets.
Chris Philp has joined Stone Real Estate Camden. He is an established performer in Sydney’s Macarthur region and number one selling agent nationally two years running at his previous agency.
Making his first move in over a decade in real estate, Mr Philp will work alongside Stone Camden principal Peter Salisbury.
He said that joining Stone is an opportunity he could not refuse.
“The Stone brand is highly impressive and I can see it’s really going places,” Mr Philp said.
“The people behind it are very hands-on and passionate about their vision. They’re enthusiastic and have a great culture. I’ve seen them in action now the past few weeks which has made me even more happy about making the move.”
Mr Philp credits his success to an “unflagging” commitment to detail.
“I’m very systematic, as when you’re making a high number of transactions, you have to be,” he said.
“For instance, I have a communication plan and vendors will hear from me every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I update them immediately after every open and give a secondary call once I have gone back to the office.
“Communication — or the lack of it — is the biggest complaint in our industry, so if a client doesn’t know when to expect a call, they’re more likely to reach out to you, and I don’t want that to ever happen as it means I haven’t followed them up quickly enough.”
Mr Philp said he does everything he can to help a client.
“I enlist their involvement in approving ads and photos, if they need items moved or have a garage full of things that need shifting before an open, I’m there to help — anything that I can do to help, I will.”
