The Barry Plant Group has expanded to a thriving regional town in north-eastern Victoria, after signing an agreement with Brenda Letson who previously was the director of a nationally branded office in the town.

Barry Plant has opened an office in Benalla, on the Broken River around two hours north-east of Melbourne.

Barry Plant said that Ms Letson has “exceptional” organisational skills, honed in the areas of HR and payroll.

“Brenda entered the real estate industry in 2014, gaining her full real estate licence and taking over the Benalla office where her son, David Brentnall, was already working,” it said.

Ms Letson said she has a “deep belief” that real estate is more than a transaction.

“It is a profession that requires a commitment to long-term relationships and working to become a trusted adviser for everything to do with real estate,” she added.

Ms Letson said she worked deliberately to ensure that the people in her newly acquired agency did just that, and that the effort has paid dividends.

She said she chose to join the Barry Plant Group because of its commitment to the client experience.

“They also have an extensive training program across all aspects of real estate which they can deliver to my team as well as providing business mentoring.

“They are innovative and have a whole range of initiatives that will not only enhance the customer experience, but also work to reduce my business costs. They believe in giving back to the local community and so do I.”

Ms Letson said she was excited about the future.

“Benalla is growing rapidly with a predicted 800 to 1,000 jobs being created in the next 12–24 months, and I want my team to be the best real estate team in the area, the real estate agent of choice for buyers, sellers, tenants and landlords with investment properties.”

The Barry Plant Group has 76 offices across Victoria.
