Stone Real Estate opens in Victoria’s fast-growing Ballarat this week, with two of the city’s best-known and most respected agents heading the new office.
Leading agent Jarrod Cloke, in the top 1 per cent of his previous franchise group, and Samantha Prince have launched the boutique brand in the region currently under the spotlight for possessing Victoria’s strongest property market and being Australia’s fourth fastest-growing city.
“The Stone brand resonated with both of us,” Mr Cloke said.
“Stone’s fresh modern brand is a perfect fit for the Ballarat property market. This town is attracting so much interest from both buyers and investors that a sophisticated boutique agency like Stone is exactly what it needs.”
Stone’s one client database was also a significant draw for both agents.
“We love the fact there is a uniform database,” Mr Cloke said.
“I can see that other agencies may preach that they have these inter-agency links, but they don’t have anything as efficient as Stone’s system. We found too that Stone’s marketing strategies are far more high-end than anything on offer in this region.
“The level of training offered by Stone is something I’ve never experienced before in well over a decade in real estate. We’ve already had several one-on-ones with Stone’s head of training, Peter Malouf, and received so much guidance.”
Ms Prince agreed the corporate support was a big plus in their decision along with Stone’s marketing tools and strategies.
“This is something Ballarat hasn’t seen before and we want to be the ones who introduce it here, have that fresh approach, and use those tools to help clients.”
Stone’s head of franchise, Luke Cameron, said the fact that both principals of the new Ballarat office had made the first approach was a perfect example of how the boutique agency was attracting top talent from leading markets.
“Stone is making it possible for a lot of leading agents to finally build the style of business they’ve always wanted on a scale they never previously imagined,” Mr Cameron said.
“This is the reason we’re so excited to be able to introduce this opportunity to such a promising and thriving market as Ballarat.”
