Boutique agency Stone Real Estate is extending its reach in the Hunter Valley region, one of its key NSW markets, with the addition of a third office there.
Stone Real Estate Kurri Kurri opened its doors last week, just over a year after the launch of Stone Hunter Valley and Stone Lake Macquarie, to cater to one of the state’s most rapidly expanding areas.
Principal of all three offices, David Tanchevski said the burgeoning area had embraced Stone’s boutique approach, and that it is an opportune time to expand.
He said the area’s future potential is “huge”.
“With substantial residential and infrastructure projects underway including almost $300 million worth of development in the first six months of 2019 alone.
“Furthermore, the Hunter Valley ranks among NSW’s most superior regional areas for property investment following several months of healthy yields.”
Mr Tanchevski said Kurri is now one of the area’s most significant sales and investment nodes.
“The town is only 25 minutes to the Newcastle CBD and 15 minutes from Wallsend, and is the next most affordable place for owner-occupiers and investors who feel Newcastle is now too expensive for them.
“Our strategy sees us expanding the Stone brand across all areas from Newcastle to Lake Macquarie as well as in the Hunter Valley.”
Stone’s head of franchise, Luke Cameron, said the new office boosts the Stone boutique brand’s presence in regional NSW to seven offices, following the two existing Hunter offices and Stone Illawarra, Toukley, Copacabana and Albury.
He said the brand could always be expected to appear wherever property markets were moving fastest.
“We’re not only targeting these hot areas but also the best agents within them,” Mr Cameron said.
“In Victoria, for example, Stone most recently opened an office in Ballarat where the property market has taken off due to affordability and proximity to Melbourne, and with agents who approached Stone looking for a more professional way to operate in their increasingly sophisticated market.”
