Boutique agency OBrien Real Estate has added a new office to its company banner.

It has included to its network a local family agency from Melbourne, the Molinaro family business, which will now operate under the boutique brand and from its new Blackburn office in the city’s eastern suburbs.

OBrien Real Estate originated within one office from the South East of Melbourne in 2010, and now has 28 offices including its head office in Chadstone.

OBrien general manager Jason Mudford said the success of the Molinaro family business led to this partnership.

The Molinaro family business has been established for more than 30 years in the City of Whitehorse and, according to Mr Mudford, has “many clients, businesses, community groups, clubs and charitable organisations” across the city.

“Frank and his wife, Lena Molinaro, established the family agency in 1993 and have established a strong community… across the City of Whitehorse,” he said.

“Frank, with over 40 years’ experience in real estate, and a fellowship of the local Rotary Club for many years… is a proud member of the REIV Sales Agent Chapter and, until recently, was a council member of the Victorian Police Blue Ribbon Foundation.”

The duo instilled the family focus approach to their son and daughter, Anthony and Anna Molinaro, who also work in the business as accomplished sales and property management consultants.

“Anthony started his career as a property manager before swiftly moving into sales seven years ago, and is now a highly regarded award-winning auctioneer,” Mr Mudford said.

Anna Molinaro heads the property management and recently nabbed the second spot in the realestate.com.au Real Ideas Prize.

Mr Mudford said the strategy for OBrien, over the past 12 months, has been to focus on its people within its network and ensure any new office growth meets its guiding structure.

“The Molinaro family ticks all the boxes,” he said.

Mr Mudford also said its goal of being a 50-office network within Victoria will not be a race and that growth needs to be properly managed.

The company most recently made a high-level appointment to its office servicing the Monash corridor of Melbourne, appointing award-winning local agent Gareth Apswoude and his assistant Zoe Zhao to the Oakleigh office.

It also consolidated three real estate offices in Melbourne in February to become one in Main Street in Mornington under the OBrien Real Estate brand.

In January, it brought on board Lambros Bollas to the OBrien Real Estate network as a member of the leadership team.
