Place Estate Agents has appointed a luxury real estate agent as joint principal of the company’s Ascot office.
Drew Davies will work alongside Patrick McKinnon at the office, based in Queensland.
Mr Davies started his real estate career in 2014, first specialising in the Brisbane city market before reaching his goal of selling some of the city’s most prestigious homes in the Ascot and Hamilton areas.
The company said Mr Davies was selected for being one of Brisbane’s “most well-known prestige agents” and for holding Ascot’s highest sale price for 2019, at $4.15 million, for one of its off-market transactions.
“Drew has an outstanding sales record and we know his experience will complement our already strong Ascot team,” Place Estate Agents CEO Damian Hackett said.
“Not only has Drew set multiple records across local suburbs, he also holds the record sale price in Queensland for a one-bedroom apartment, sold for almost $2.63 million.”
Mr Davies said he looks forward to building Place Estate Agents’ business.
“From day one, it has always been a burning desire to be a business owner in Ascot. I also love growing people within my team and helping them become top of their game. Place is a brand I have always respected, so it’s a great fit for me,” he said.
Having an Instagram following of more than 32,000 organic followers, Mr Davies intends on building the business using social media.
“I started properly growing my Instagram account around five years ago; I’ve even managed to secure listings through the platform,” he said.
Mr Davies shared how he has sold many homes where the vendor first contacted him through Instagram.
“They say it’s because they feel like they already know me. My advice to agents wanting to thrive on this platform: be authentic and consistent. Don’t entertain vanity metrics,” he said.
According to Mr McKinnon, the partnership will offer residents in and around Ascot the “very best” in service and results.
