Stone Real Estate Queensland has opened the doors to its first office in the state, with a “leading independent agent” set to run the business.

The inaugural office, Stone Real Estate Coomera, is located in the Gold Coast region and will be led by Shane Evans.

According to the company, Mr Evans is the top-selling agent in the burgeoning northern Gold Coast region and having him as the brand’s maiden business partner in the Sunshine State is a positive for the business.

Stone Queensland head Scott Kelly said his addition to the network is an “enormous asset for the rapidly expanding boutique brand”.

“Partnering with high-calibre people is a non-negotiable for Stone Queensland, and Shane epitomises this requirement as our first business partner in Queensland,” Mr Kelly said.

“Shane’s exceptional leadership skills and demonstrated high performance also made him a natural choice for us. We truly couldn’t be happier for him to become Stone Real Estate’s first business partner in Queensland and look forward to helping him further the great ambitions he has for his business.”

Mr Evans said being a leading agent in one of Queensland’s fastest-growing regions influenced his decision to join Stone.

“Enjoying great success to date makes joining a network like Stone that is progressive and forward-thinking a natural step to help me achieve my future growth ambitions,” Mr Evans said.

“There are so many people relocating to this corridor between the Gold Coast and Brisbane, especially from south of the border.”

Stone’s one client database and training methodology were other factors that interested Mr Evans to the business.

He said he intends on using those to enable him to “expand his business beyond traditional parameters”, while attracting other top agents that want to take their business to the next level.

“Stone Real Estate’s one client database offers tremendous leverage for both clients and customers to source qualified buyers from local and international markets,” he said.

“Their training is also very hands-on and there’s tremendous accountability. The brand has put a great mechanism in place to improve performance, and this matches perfectly with our goal to have a high-performance agency for those agents who want to take their careers to the next level.”

The Telstra Gold Coast Young Entrepreneur finalist will be joined by Sally-Ann Cook, who joins the office as its business manager.
