After an acquisition in 2017, one regional firm has announced a new office opening and is eyeing further expansion with its team of award-winning agents. The team shared their secrets to success in spite of tough market conditions.

Co-owners of Wythes Real Estate John and Sirah Robb have now opened an office in Doonan, Queensland.

Acquiring an agency during a downward cycle, and gearing it for growth in 2019, required training and “innovative” strategies internally, the owners said in a statement.

Core to this approach was a dedicated people strategy, backed by state and national recognition.

The female leadership at the firm is particularly strong, being named as a finalist for Regional Principal of the Year in both the 2019 REB Awards and the REB Women in Real Estate Awards. Its other staff members have also received gongs in the years following their acquisition.

“The pair are advocates for women in real estate, supporting women in leadership roles, working mums in particular,” the agency’s statement said.

“This latest venture sees them further strengthen their already strong position in the market with some incredible women in their team.”
