A Sydney real estate agency has launched a buyers agency service in Victoria in response to growing demand.

Patrick Leo, a real estate agency that specialises in investment property sales, has opened the office Melbourne but with the aim to provide services across the country.

This is the third office for the agency but is the first office that will operate primarily as a buyer’s agency.

James Nihill, managing director of Patrick Leo, said the group was excited to launch the new office as clients had been asking for buyer’s agency service.

“We are excited to launch the buyer’s agency service. Many clients have asked us over the years to help source their homes after we have delivered them great results with investment properties,” Mr Nihill said.

The office will be headed by industry veteran Amanda Jones, who has had more than a decade of experience as a real estate and buyer’s agent in agencies including Cohen Handler and hockingstuart.

“More than 90 per cent of property I secure for my clients is off-market and this is where the potential and true value of using a buyer’s representative is unlocked. These are property opportunities that clients would never find on their own,” Ms Jones said.

Ms Jones will focus on buyer’s advocacy, advisory, research and real estate investment as head of the new arm of Patrick Leo.

She will not only provide services to clients in Melbourne but also more broadly in Sydney and around the world.

“While there is strong demand predominantly in Melbourne and Sydney to use a buyer’s agent, we are also seeing increasing appetite from Australian expats keen to secure family homes for when they return back here,” she said.

Already the group piloted an international service for Australian expats in London which has already sourced 14 homes for Australians overseas.
