Stone Real Estate has unveiled a new office in Hornsby as it looks to strengthen its presence across the northern Sydney area.

Co-principals, and brothers, Steve and Adam Noakes will head up the new Stone Real Estate Hornsby office, bringing with them almost 20 years of combined experience.

Speaking to REB, Steve Noakes said the move comes after seeing considerable demand in the northern Sydney hotspot.

“Adam and I have worked in the area for almost 20 years together and have been looking at starting an agency here,” Mr Noakes said.

“Knowing the Hornsby area well and watching the trends that it has gone through, it’s obviously well within first home buyers’ range, its well within downsizers’ and upsizers’, it has an array of different buyers coming through. For us, it was a great place to jump on and start at.”

Having previously worked at Ray White and Di Jones Real Estate, respectively, Steve and Adam touted the Stone brand for giving them the confidence to start their own agency.

“Taking ourselves out of the equation, the actual brand itself is one of those ones that have a boutique feel about it but has a very large reach and is up there with some of the biggest competitors,” Steve said.

“Stone was such as easy choice because their attitude isn’t simply ‘here’s an agency, do what you want’. Instead they place the emphasis on building a team around you.”

Adam offered a similar sentiment, noting Stone’s use of advanced sales technology, as well as its operational systems and streamlined client database instilled a strong level of comfort in the pair partnering with the brand.

“All these factors are unique to Stone and place the brand far above the capabilities of any other franchise,” Adam said.

“The Stone brand is also elegant, sleek and we truly like the company and the people — they’re a genuine, friendly team, very smart and have vast industry experience.”

Looking ahead, Steve said he and Adam intend to hit the ground running, attracting new vendors and recruiting agents to meet demand going forward.

“From kick-off date, which is now, weve got quite a few properties starting up. Our main aim is to look after our vendors with those — get them on the market and sold,” he said.

“We’ve started chats with some agents, and in the coming months, were going to be furthering them on to build quite a team around us.

“Hornsby is a hotspot. Its the end of the North Shore line and it’s quite a diverse area. It has higher and lower-end properties, from $2 million in Asquith down to $280,000 units in Hornsby, so you get a whole array of people there.

“I think the Stone brand will be a great fit and create a bit of disruption for the area as well, so should be good.”
