LJ Hooker Pacific Pines | Helensvale has vowed to host a no-reserve auction, with all proceeds to go to help seriously ill and premature babies at Mater Hospital’s Neonatal Critical Care Unit (NCCU).

As part of its philanthropic outreach efforts, the team will forfeit their sales commission from the no-reserve auction of the “House for Life”, a newly built home in The Surrounds community at Helensvale, this Sunday, 8 September.

National auctioneer Damien Cooley of Cooley Auctions will handle the gavel on the day, a statement from the agency confirmed.

“We were proud to be named LJ Hooker’s International Community Relationship Office of the Year recently. The House for Life initiative is another way for us to join other great companies like Plantation Homes, Villawood Properties and others in giving back to the communities that support us,” said Pascal Pierre, principal of LJ Hooker Pacific Pines | Helensvale.

“The Mater Little Miracles is an important cause, giving invaluable support to Queensland families experiencing the most trying of times.

“The Helensvale area is popular among families with its schooling, extensive parkland and proximity to employment hubs. What the (Mater Little Miracles) cause sets out to achieve really resonates with us as a business and with our customers.”

So far, the auction of the “Hamptons-style home” has received significant interest, according to selling agents Brad Clarke and Siarne Loeve.

“We haven’t been surprised by the interest in such a quality home in a popular area,” Ms Loeve said.

“There were 332 homes that changed hands over the last year — that’s almost one new family moving into the suburb every day.”

Mr Clarke added: “Interested people have commented on the fact that every bedroom has an en suite, that it backs onto the park and that it captures the Hamptons design so genuinely.”
