A no-reserve charity auction was met with resounding success over the weekend, with proceeds from the $986,000 sale going toward helping sick and premature babies.
LJ Hooker Helensvale | Pacific Pines came on-board for the House for Life campaign this year, teaming up with Plantation Homes and Villawood Properties which have led the initiative to support Mater Hospital’s Neonatal Critical Care Unit.
The auction was held on Sunday, 8 September, with LJ Hooker Helensvale | Pacific Pines agents Brad Clarke and Siarne Loeve managing the sales campaign, and national auctioneer Damien Cooley of Cooley Auctions handling the gavel.
Mr Clarke said more than 800 people turned out for Sunday’s auction, which was coupled with a packed day of family entertainment. Eighteen bidders registered to contest the auction.
“We were thrilled with the interest in the home,” Mr Clarke said.
“It was incredible to be part of a campaign that helped raise close to a million dollars for such an important Queensland service — helping young kids and their families facing the most difficult times.”
Ms Loeve added: “We congratulate Plantation Homes and Villawood Properties on this life-changing initiative and all the fantastic tradespeople and suppliers who likewise lent their skills and resources to the cause.
“We’re proud to have contributed to this vital cause and have made some great friends and connections along the way.”
