A former director at Stone Real Estate Double Bay and his team have joined the LJ Hooker Double Bay Group in a move the latter says adds to its strategy of becoming a “super office”.

Former director at Stone Real Estate Double Bay Daniel Baran has joined the group, bringing with him real estate specialists Reece Coleman and Paul Wigan.

Mr Baran’s new role sees him become an associate director of the LJ Hooker Double Bay Group alongside directors Mark Meyer and Bill Malouf. He’s hit the ground running, already listing and selling in excess of $20 million in property over the month he’s been at the LJ Hooker office.

Commenting on the move, Mr Meyer said the opportunity to bring Mr Baran and his team onboard further cemented the agency’s market-leading position.

“Our mission is to create a super office that makes sense from a strategic and cultural standpoint,” Mr Meyer said.

“Recently, we invested heavily in expanding and renovating our office to make it an office of the future equipped with significant tech infrastructure, collaborative spaces for our teams and a fit-out that our people are proud to bring clients into.

“Daniel has the same outlook to us, that technology will continue to play a pivotal role in our industry, but nothing will ever replace the real relationships we make with our clients. Technology will complement the real estate process, not overtake it.

“We are excited to have Daniel and his team onboard, and the newfound opportunities we’ll be delivering to our customers.”

Speaking on his decision, Mr Baran noted he was impressed by LJ Hooker’s “innovative systems and resources that support agents in providing a seamless real estate experience to their clients”.

“What the LJ Hooker Group is developing is like nothing I’ve ever seen before, and taking a leadership position is imperative in our shifting real estate market,” he said.

“By joining the LJ Hooker Double Bay Group, my team and I will have greater efficiencies and, coupled with their systems support, it’ll give me back valuable time to spend with my customers to maximise outcomes.

“It also means together we can capture more market share, faster.”

Correction: A former version of this article stated Mr Baran was a former founding director of Stone Real Estate. This has been amended to reflect Mr Baran's correct position as former director at Stone Real Estate Double Bay.
