Con Nikiforides changed the Gold Coast skyline, and now his family home is up for grabs.
It has been more than two years since the much-loved developer lost his battle to cancer. His name will live on in the Gold Coast as the Broadbeach’s Oracle Towers he built will continue to tower the streets.
Now his family home is on the market for the first time.
Mr Nikiforides had a clear vision for the house design from day one, his wife Tina Nikiforides said.
“It was a Con project from the beginning until the very end. The coffee room on the river side of the house is one of my favourite rooms and where I have some of my fondest memories,” she said.
The developer’s love of nature comes through in the property, and he did not spare any expense when it came to transporting a poinciana tree from his old house.
“The tree held special meaning for him because they could walk, our three sons used to climb and play on the tree regularly,” Ms Nikiforides said.
The house was built 27 years ago. However, it was designed to have an ageless Mediterranean feel to stand the test of time, she said.
“This house has had one family living in it from day one. We built it as a family, lived in it as a family and loved it as a family. This will be a gem for a lucky buyer.”
Ray White is marketing the property, and it will go to auction on 2 November.
