Not long after moving into his creation, former Wallabies captain Stephen Moore lists his Brisbane home.
The family bought the property 10 years ago, and it took nearly two years to build this inner-city contemporary home, which used to have an old timber house on the property.
It was thought the five-bedroom house would be their forever home, but they wanted more room for their three children, Mr Moore said.
“We want a bit more space to kick a ball with the kids. We’ve got a bigger block of land just up the road in Bardon that will be good for us now,” he said.
Mr Moore enjoys the lifestyle they have in Paddington, and the house is the perfect location to show off the picture postcard view of the city skyline.
“We genuinely love this area,” he said. “It’s the total lifestyle package as it’s so close to the CBD, close to the best schools and cafes and it’s just a short walk to Suncorp Stadium.”
Paddington continues to grow in popularity, Ray White New Farm’s Matt Lancashire said.
“It’s always been home to many beautiful traditional character homes, but there’s been a steady stream of high-end residential building works in the blue-chip inner western suburb that puts it very high on many buyers’ list,” he said.
“I’ve had a lot of early interest so far.”
An expression of interest campaign is currently underway on the house, which will close on 8 November.
