Time wound back at the Adelaide Convention Centre at the weekend as the 1920s era was rich, with real estate agents sharing a toast while embracing the Jay Gatsby period.
It was the scene of this year’s REISA Award of Excellence, where the best of the best from across South Australia gathered to recognise excellence in the industry.
“These awards are the real estate profession’s night of nights in South Australia. They acknowledge and celebrate everything that is good about the real estate profession,” REISA president Brett Roenfeldt said.
“REISA is all about professional development, training, advocacy, membership and networking. These all dovetail nicely into ensuring that all our members are the best they can be.
“The awards recognise that but also serve as a reminder to government and the community that we are doing the right thing and making sure our clients and customers are represented transparently and professionally in the real estate transaction.”
More than 30 awards were given out on the night, which included Alexi Broikos of Refined Real Estate being recognised as local residential salesperson.
“I’m ecstatic to win the award,” Mr Broikos said. “It’s lovely to be recognised for the time and effort we put in every sale and client we have.”
The love and support he gets from his clients are cause for satisfaction in itself, but to be recognised at an event with his peers is the icing on the cake.
“It is beautiful to get all the leaders in the room, looking up to those in front of them, inspiring to be better.”
Mr Broikos has enjoyed these awards since 2012 when he received his first gold medal.
“I’ve caught the bug, and I’m hooked,” he joked. “The learning you can take away is the excitement from seeing others.
“It allows everyone to raise their bar.”
