Laing+Simmons has recruited an AI agent to sell apartments in a new development in Sydney’s west.
Emma is the robotic agent’s name, and it is Australia’s most advanced virtual selling agent.
Laing+Simmons Projects is working with Laing+Simmons Penrith to give Emma life. She will coordinate the off-the-plan sales at Nepean Rise, and it is hoped she will deliver a better user experience.
“The pace of change in AI since the first virtual agents were employed until now has been exponential,” Laing+Simmons Projects’ Jason Salter said.
“It amounts to a vastly enhanced quantum of data for Emma to tap into, delivering a more targeted and individual service to customers at any time that suits them, which, of course, is the key reason for AI being the future of service industries like real estate.
“AI has already changed the way off-the-plan properties are marketed, and Emma is the best-in-use example.”
Emma can be part of a buyer’s experience from the initial enquiry right through to the purchase and settlement stage. However, a human agent can enter the transaction and anytime, and Emma will signal the best time for that.
The Nepean Rise development is targeted towards investors and owner-occupiers, with construction starting next year.
