Last year, First National donated nearly $200,000 to Kids Helpline, and now the agency’s boss wants to get the message out there about the charity’s work.
First National Real Estate chief executive Ray Ellis will hit the road this month to remind parents that Kids Helpline is there to help young people at any time for any reason.
The road trip is part of the “CEO’s Coastal Campervan Dash”, which will start in Bright, Victoria, on 8 January, before he heads up the South Coast of New South Wales.
Mr Ellis pointed out that during the holidays, it can be a challenging time for some young people.
“Across Australia, every First National Real Estate office sponsors Kids Helpline to help children access the confidential guidance they need to cope, not just with any hardship associated with the Christmas season, but with year-round problems like cyberbullying, depression, homelessness, mental health or suicidal thoughts,” he said.
Each office is committed to promoting awareness of the helpline, and they have conducted many local fundraisers.
“We want to make sure that Kids Helpline has the support it needs to respond to more calls than ever before because all children and young people deserve to be heard,” Mr Ellis said.
