It can be hard to attend regular events across the year to learn from real estate greats, which is why one company has taken to an online format.

Stone & Chalk has partnered with proptech platform Unissu to create a global real estate equivalent of TED Talk.

It aims to provide 180 free-to-view videos from worldwide experts about the future of global real estate and the rise of technology in the sector.

The events, called Connect, will be hosted simultaneously in 15 cities across five continents during a week in March.

Among the speakers will be University of Oxford’s Andrew Baum, PropTech 3.0 author Helen Lam and many others who are yet to be confirmed.

“We are so excited to be involved in such a unique initiative to bring the leaders in property technology together,” Stone & Chalk CEO Alex Scandurra said.

“We see Connect as an opportunity to propel Australian proptechs to the world stage.”

Unissu co-founder James Deasley views Connect as a pivotal moment to help educate the global property market as it has to come to grips with digital transformation.

“We feel passionate that the best ideas about change can come from anybody involved in the industry, not just so-called ‘influencers’, and hence the call for speakers. Connect will democratise access to the best ideas and will help amplify the concepts globally to an audience desperate for guidance,” he said.
