The real estate industry has come together when it matters, and collectively has raised more than $1 million to support the victims of this summer’s bushfires.

The push that got Beyond the Bricks into seven figures came at Ray White’s Unite 2020 event in Victoria.

The gathering of agents from across Victoria and Tasmania made it the right time for a charity auction, which raised more than $13,000 on the day.

Auctioneer Jeremy Tyrrell led the event, and items up for grabs included two nights for seven people at the Mornington Peninsula and five Ray White Concierge “Tell the Neighbours” campaigns for a single agent.

The most sought-after service up for grabs was the offer from Ray White Victoria and Tasmania CEO Stephen Dullens who put his hand up to be auctioned to wash every member of a corporate team section’s cars, Ray White head of marketing Lisa Pennell said.

The same sort of event was held at the South Australia and Northern Territory Unite 2020 event, where an auction with an array of wines and signed football memorabilia raised more than $2,000.

As money continues to trickle into the charity, which will support bushfire victims on the long path to normality, many groups have worked on events to continue contributing to the cause.
