Ray White agents achieved more than 7,000 extra appraisals in less than four hours.

It was part of its second Real Estate of Origin, and nearly 70 per cent of the residential network logged in to participate in the appraisal drive.

“Our business owners have an extra 7,016 extra appraisals to conduct for prospective vendors; that’s a mammoth effort in less than four hours in each time zone,” Ray White head of growth Mark McLeod said.

“The Queensland network alone has 2,179 new appraisals to undertake now, which is terrific, so the Queenslanders win bragging rights for the second time in a row.”

To motivate the network, the purpose-built media room in the NSW corporate office was used to host the event and bring everyone together.

Not only were phone calls made, but some agents secured new listings.

“Not only did Nick Psarros of Ray White Port Adelaide pick up the phone for an appraisal, he went round to the property, and won the listing then and there,” Mr McLeod said.

The annual event created a perfect platform for friendly rivalry, managing director Dan White said.

“We’ve seen in many codes of sport how rivalries between teams and states can drive results and records, and that’s been evident today,” he said.

“No matter what’s going on in the market, there’s nothing better than being close to the customer and offering a great service; that’s what today’s all about.”
