Leadership at McGrath Real Estate believes the agency is prepared if its workforce has to work from home.
On Monday, McGrath headquarters and six sales offices across Sydney shut down and worked from home as part of a proactive trial of a safe working environment.
The trial intended to ensure the business continues to run smoothly and effectively if everyone needs to work from home.
The result was a trial that worked well and efficiently.
“Being a larger real estate services group, we are fortunate to have the capability in investing in a high level of data systems supplemented by an experienced technical team. We will be continuing with our remote trial for our Head Office team for the remainder of the week,” McGrath CEO Geoff Lucas said.
“Ironically, I believe in coming months when we collectively look back at this period, we will be recognising the benefits of technology in educating our workforce in a different way to work.
“This crisis will actually alter the way businesses see remote and flexible working arrangements and generate a permanent and positive shift in the way businesses adapt to flexible workforces utilising the benefits of rapidly emerging technologies.”
