The Australasian Real Estate Conference has postponed its upcoming event, following the government’s ban on non-essential indoor gatherings of more than 100 people.
The news came from Total Real Estate Training (TRET), who considered the current advice from the government and health officials and have decided to defer the Gold Coast event that was set to take place on the last weekend of May.
“We believe this is prudent action to take in light of the World Health Organisation’s advice for governments and businesses to heighten their containment efforts and our own federal government’s banning gatherings of more than 100 people indoors,” TRET general manager Nichola Byrne said.
“The rescheduling of AREC 2020 will be announced once it is clear that the virus is contained. We will continue to actively monitor developments around COVID-19, as the health of our delegates and our speakers are of the utmost concern.”
The event will offer full refunds to those who already purchased tickets, or they may have the option to use it for a deferred event.
